A "Record viewer" is where you construct your edit.
You can think of it like a tape in a record VTR.You
can edit material into the viewer using the buttons on
the Console.

Clicking on the purple icon on the side of the viewer will
open the Stripview. Clicking on the Filecard icon on the
top-right of the viewer will open a filecard of information
about this shot.
