the toolbox
In a Lightworks system any edit point can be trimmed in one of three different ways.

By clicking on the Stripview to the left of an edit point, as shown on the video track of this Stripview, you break the end
of the previous shot, allowing you to shorten or lengthen that shot.
By clicking on the Stripview to the right of an edit point, as shown on the A1 track of this Stripview, you break the beginning
of the next shot, allowing you to shorten or lengthen that shot.
By clicking directly on the edit point, as shown on the A2 track of this Stripview, you break both shots, allowing you to
move the cut point up and down your edit. If you moved the cut point 4 frames to the left the cut would happen 4 frames earlier.

Trimming can be done with the shuttle control, the play buttons or with the mouse and if you wish you can trim multiple cut
points at the same time. Clicking on Deselect or pressing stop and unmark on the Console will join all the points together
again. As you trim the system will display the pictures and sound of the edit you are trimming, in real time.
