The main function of the Screwdriver Tool is to call up Menus of commands thatact on screen objects.
Many screen objects have Menu buttons (the yellow icons in the lower left corner) but the Screwdriver
Tool enables the Menu to be accessed even when this button is not visible. This can be a very useful
and timesaving way of dealing with Tiles or closed down Databases and Galleries.The Screwdriver Tool
performs other specific functions - for example it can change an Edit Viewer display between timecode
and feet and frames when editing film originated material.
