The
Lightworks user interface was designed by editors
for editors. It is designed to be as simple, logical and intuitive
as possible, while still allowing access to all the functions
required by a professional editor. It does not assume any
previous computer experience and can be learnt by anyone
with an eye for pictures and an ear for sound. The interface
is the same for the Lightworks, Heavyworks and Newsworks
systems, with some tools being specific to each system.
This walkthrough is designed to
give you an idea of what the
Lightworks user interface looks like. Unfortunately we can't
really show you what it feels like, because none of the images
on the following pages can play or shuttle; if you'd like to get
