For use in the field, Phoenix Log can download data from The Logger hand held logging device. Phoenix Log is designed for anyone to use - from the P.A. to the editor's assistant. Features like the point and click setup wizard and the context sensitive online help, make operation quick and intuitive. The supplied hardware consists of a special cable that connects the serial port on your PC to any VTR - PAL or NTSC, with a Sony remote control 9 pin port. The VTR can be operated from the PC's keyboard or the mouse. Timecode is read directly into Phoenix Log and a single keystroke marks the start and end of shots. Enter descriptions, scene, take, and roll numbers on the fly or use the cue facility tosearch back to marked shots before entering your data.
