The Lightworks VIT is a multi-channel Ingest facility which provides efficient Ingest without tying-up valuable Edit Suites. With support for up to four simultaneous ingest channels and a full toolset for optimised ingest, Lightworks VIT provides a cost effective solution when time is important or when Edit Suites can be better utilised for Editing rather than Ingest.

Supporting SD and HD formats and a range of codecs, Lightworks VIT can operate in many different applications. Media ingested can be utilised in most popular current edit systems and operations and metadata interchange have been optimised for use with Lightworks Alacrity and SoftWorks.

Those familiar with the previous Lightworks VIP product will see the same fast operation and simplified workflow but tailored to today's multi-format world.

VIT is controlled from any remote NLE, editor selects number of channels he wishes to use, submits the ingest script, EDL or ODB database and go. VIT will start asking for tapes #, note that several users can share the same unit as long as video channels are free.
